Anyway, we just had our annual culture function “Sanskriti” and it was quite good. I am totally ISA guy and I will not criticize anybody who is involved with ISA activities. As I know how much efforts are required for these events. According to me it is very easy for anyone to comment and criticize what ISA does. Few idiots drinks on Friday nights and decide to remove their own rage so they start “XYZ daily” nonsense. When ever they drink they come up with one issue and write a post and create controversies. But when money gets over to buy drinks they fight among themselves for $ 13. Classy people really…..
According to me function went really well. I went to the exhibition and I saw it was arranged very nicely. My only request and suggestion is, please do not put written explanation. Somebody needs to be there to explain exhibits. Make it more interactive. If you have some music instruments, play them and let people try their hands on the instruments. If games are there, you play and teach people how to play. If cooking range is kept, explain them how you cook, how you use them in your kitchen. These attract and amuse a lot of people. In all, exhibition was alright. For the first time in two years of my stay here, I saw complete cultural program. I really liked it. New performances like Fashion Show by Aditi, Video by Varun were fabulous. My personal favorites were dance performance by Ranjit and song “Munbe Vaa” by Anupama. With few glitches program went well. In the end dinner was also very good. Everyone liked it. I will say my good friend Sushanth Gudlur aka ‘The President’ aka ‘Royal Ramasami’ did a wonderful job.
To talk more about “Mr. President this year”, here are few comments from my friend Sushanth Gudlur about my committee last year.
“Looks like these days EVEYONE is picking on the ISA for its faults (it’s becoming a hobby, I guess). It’s so much easier to find faults than to try and do a job properly. Why don't we give those poor chaps a little break and let them do what they think is right.
My Reply: Dude...My eyes are on your committee and I am going to pick you. :) That is my hobby this year. ;)
“I wonder how the present ISA committee members get feedback from the community regarding the various events the ISA plans? It would be interesting to hear the answer from the horse's mouth.”
My Reply: Who is the horse now??? :)
